TradeWars 2002
The space trading classic of the BBS age, in its last DOS release. You fly a Merchant Cruiser through a thousand sectors, buying low and selling high in Fuel Ore, Organics and Equipment. Profits buy fighters and new planets, allies form corporations, and Ferrengi raiders and rival traders share a universe that remembers every call.
From the sysop
The door opens on a title picture, then a short menu: press T to play. A new trader is asked to start a character: answer Y, name a home planet and a ship, and land at the Command prompt. Single letters do everything there; ? lists them and Q leaves the game. Progress saves as you go, and you get 250 turns a day, with spent turns coming back by the hour. Mail other traders, form corporations and watch the rankings. This unregistered copy takes one player at a time and leaves out other ship types, Citadels and Photon Missiles. Idle traders are removed after 30 days.
