The Pit
Regal City had a problem with street violence, so King Hornbluff built an arena and charged the townspeople to watch. You arrive as a farmer's kid who saved every penny for a sword and armor. Then you fight your way up from trainees to undead and Norse gods. When other players are online you can chat live and challenge one of them to a duel in the shared arena.

The first screen asks you to activate a graphics terminal: just press SPACE. New players answer a short setup: color Y, music N, menu type E. Then you land at the MAIN MENU. In the arena A attacks and F fires a ranged weapon; the number keys 1-4 and 6-9 are compass directions and SPACE passes a move. X on the main menu exits and saves. You get 120 minutes a day. In this demo version a character who reaches level 8 drops back to level 1. Press ! for live chat and to challenge another player to a duel; answer a challenge within half a minute.

The rules of the house
- 4 players may be in at once.

- Leave through the game's own quit so it saves. Ctrl+] three times, or the Hang up button, drops carrier.
- The first entry fetches the game into your browser; a big door can take half a minute. After that it is quick.
