LORD II: New World
Walk a big overhead world screen by screen, Zelda style: Legend of the Red Dragon's sequel is a very different game. Push against the table at home for cash, and against odd patches for berries and surprises. Fight what roams beyond the villages, train with Barak, take quests from people you meet. Other players show up on your map as they move, so you can chat, trade or fight them live.
From the sysop
Your first screen is a help menu: arrow down to the last choice, Play the game!, and press Enter. Then name your child, three letters or more. Arrow keys or numpad 8 4 2 6 walk, ? lists every key, V shows your stats and gear. T talks to other players, Q quits (it asks first). You get 3000 turns and one life a day; die and you are back tomorrow. Four of you can be on the map at once and see each other move. This is the unregistered release: 70 screens are open, the rest send you home. Idle three minutes and the game hangs up; a character unused for 15 days is deleted.
